Noticed any strange
characters dancing around Torbay recently? We are busy rehearsing for
our annual show and at last more of you will have an opportunity to see
our talented students perform. After repeatedly selling out in the past,
this year we have upsized our venue to the fabulous brand new $11m auditorium
at Westlake Boys High School.
Well known for our highly
entertaining, creative and very professional looking shows this is not
just your average ballet school recital.
"Be Careful What You
Wish For" is the main ballet and is a modern cautionary tale of a
girl who becomes completely obsessed with a computer game. When asked
to baby sit her younger sister she is annoyed by the distraction and wishes
her sister would "go away and never come back".

When her sister actually disappears
the girl must go into her fantasy game and begin a perilous quest to learn
to be a better person. She encounters weird and wonderful characters including
dazzling fireflies, magnificent peacocks, and a beautiful garden of roses.

With over 170 stunning costumes
and some amazing effects including the spinning of a huge intricate spider
web, it is a must see for all the family.

Also on the programme are
items from our Contemporary Dance students and for the icing on the cake
our younger ballet students perform a simply delicious ballet called "Sweets".
