This year we
proudly premier a completely new ballet story "The Magic Lake".
Performed by the senior students this ballet tells the story of a wounded
prince and a brave young girl who travels far and wide to find water from
the magic lake which will heal him. On her journey she meets some wondrous
characters. Forest draiads, beautiful butterflies and water naiads are
all part of her magical world. With uplifting music, gorgeous costumes,
exciting sword fights and some larger than life characters this ballet
is sure to enthrall young and old alike.
The younger ballet students perform a delightful children's ballet "The
Fantastic Toyshop" where all the toys come to life and enthusiastically
entertain the shopkeeper.
The Hip Hop items both have themes relating to time - "Evolution"
and "Back to the Future". The Contemporary Dance Performance
Workshop class completes the programme with "Role Model" ensuring
there will be something to appeal to all tastes.
