End
of Year Newsletter 2010
Hi everyone
Show Congratulations:
Well done everyone - the show was wonderful again this year. I was so
impressed by you all and the way you all performed so professionally.
Even our very youngest students remembered everything and got their dances
exactly right even if it was their very first time performing on stage.
It was so rewarding to see all your excited faces and to hear you all
saying how much fun it was. To all our parent helpers - I know it is a
huge task for many of you and I would like to thank you all again. You
all help to give our students a wonderfully positive experience that they
will remember always. I know the students will join me in saying a huge
thank you to you all.

Show Photo and DVD Orders:
Show Photos can be viewed at the studio during classes every day. The
DVD is also for sale. In order for us to continue to keep prices down
please do not share with other families from the school. Last date for
orders is Saturday 27th November. Photos and DVDs will be returned to
you before the end of the term.

Next Years Show At Different
Time:
Due to the Rugby World Cup the school terms have been changed for 2011.
This does have a big impact on us as we will need to put on the show earlier
in the year as having it in week 3 of term 4 would clash with the secondary
school senior exams. Therefore I have booked the Whangaparaoa College
Theatre for October 1st and 2nd which is the second to last weekend of
term 3.

Timetable and Enrolments For
2011:
Soon I will display sheets where you can pre enrol for 2011 classes. The
timetable for 2011 will be available at the studio shortly and on the
website too. Please be aware that many classes fill up very quickly especially
Level 1 and 2 Ballet. Contemporary and jazz classes are suitable for ages
9 and up. Term 1 commences on Monday February 7th.
Lost Property: Pease check
the lost property box which is overflowing! Any items not claimed by the
end of term will be given to charity.
End Of Year Sharing
Sessions and Certificate Presentation:
During the last week of term students that normally attend classes on
the same day combine and demonstrate work covered this year. Certificates
and reports are presented to all the students. Family and friends are
warmly invited to come along and support the students. Students of the
school are invited to watch other classes - this is a good opportunity
to see what other classes are up to and find out about the other dance
styles offered at the school. Students are asked to come tidily dressed
in suitable dance attire with long hair tied back neatly (ballet students
Level 5 and up in a bun please). No wrist watches or jewellery please.
Happy dancing!
Marian
